Mersin International Port:
The Port of Mersin is situated in the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye. MIP provides a short sailing period to other ports in Mediterranean, Black Sea and Red Sea Regions, and also has an efficient linkage to its hinterland. The MIP is the leading port of Turkey in imports, exports and transit trade for especially agricultural and industrial products. Mersin port is the largest port of Turkey in terms of total dock length, port area, depth, container stocking & ship acceptance capacities and staff quantity. There are 21 piers with a total port area of 110 hectare and 322 hectare sea area. Mersin port is an international hub, which is easily reachable with its direct connections to railways and highways, serving West Europe, Middle East and Asian Countries The Port has a capacity to service for general cargo, dry and liquid bulk, Ro-Ro and also international passenger ships with its modern infrastructure, equipment, vast storage areas, efficient cargo handling and also modern container terminal. The value of Mersin port became one of the leading ports with its capacity of 15 million tone/year of cargo holding, 1 million tone/year of general cargo and about 4,8 million TEU of container operation design capacity.
